JOB SUMMARYThe Accounting Specialist is responsible for entry-level bookkeeping tasks, including performing various financial transactions, reconciling bank statements, and performing clerical data entry for various accounting purposes under direct supervision. This role will work in collaboration with the accounting team to prepare various weekly and monthly closing statements and reports while leveraging the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (EPICOR) to generate and review financial data. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITESResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Perform various accounts payable & accounts receivable tasks.Prepare documentation for accounts receivable credit applications.Completes month end bank statement processing for various accounts.Provide support with month-end & year-end activities.Prepare Excel documents using formulas and VLOOKUP functions.Provide support with annual audits. Provides support when needed for various intercompany locations.Performs other duties and responsibilities assigned over the course of employment.ACCOUNTABILTIESSupervisoryNoneFiscalNoneESSENTIAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTSAssociate degree in business, accounting, or other related discipline preferred. 3+ years of direct accounting experience including an understanding of general ledger accounts and knowledge of debits and credits.Strong computer skills using MS Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) required, ERP accounting system preferred.Excellent multitasking ability with a keen eye for detail, data auditing and quality control.Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work well with all levels of management and staff.Ability to work on an individual basis and to communicate remotely on a regular basis.Excellent time management, communication, and problem solving skills.This description portrays in general terms the type and levels of work performed and is not intended to be all-inclusive or represent specific duties of any one incumbent.
