Science team is looking to add a Senior Staff Data Scientist who
will help shape Home Loans/Home Equity targeting decisions and
strategy. The Senior Staff Data Scientist will work closely with
Marketing Managers, Business Units, Product & Finance partners to
build and grow SoFi Home Loans (HL) and Home Equity Loans (HE,
including HELOAN & HELOC) products into a top choice for consumers
to "Get Your Money Right".You will be a subject matter expert on
Pre-screening/Pre-approval acquisition strategy; credit bureau
data; consumer profile and behavior; revenue economics; optimizing
onboarding experience; and internal customer performance and
marketing datasets. You will also contribute to building audience
segmentation, models, and solutions spanning acquisition,
attribution, forecasting, and budget allocation across marketing
channels.What you'll do:
- Develop holistic HL & HE marketing and offer strategies
(including pre-screen/pre-approved and ITA) across multiple
channels (DM, Email, Affiliate, Trigger, etc.), in partnership with
cross-functional teams.
- Create an end-to-end offer strategy framework to experiment and
optimize offer construct, product preference, and audience
selection across credit card products.
- Leverage bureau data and other third-party non-FCRA data to
improve marketing strategies and conversion rates.
- Translate business goals into actionable tactics and campaigns
informed by data to deliver short-term results and build a
foundation for long-term growth.
- Establish and maintain a framework for measuring the impact of
targeting, segmentation, and offer strategies on business outcomes
such as acquisitions, consumer profile, post-acquisition
performance, and revenue economics.
- Work effectively with ambiguity and demonstrate strong
problem-solving skills when assessing offer performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Marketing, Business Units,
Risk, Finance, Product, and Engineering to identify opportunities,
measure KPIs, craft compelling stories, and make data-driven
recommendations.
- Support partners with ad hoc analysis requests during normal
business operations.
- Synthesize data into clear presentations to influence senior
management decisions.
- Own comprehensive reporting of member engagement KPIs, and
develop dashboards to track and communicate performance.What you'll
need:
- Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Computer Science,
Math, Physics, Engineering, or a quantitative field.
- 12+ years of relevant experience in HL/HE growth or marketing,
with proven success in developing and analyzing marketing campaigns
and strategies.
- Industry experience in Home Equity loans or Mortgage is
essential; experience in Marketing Analytics is highly
desirable.
- Curiosity and aptitude for acquiring new technical skills.
- Ability to initiate and complete projects with minimal
guidance.
- High emotional intelligence, influencing outcomes and
communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, and proficiency in
Tableau.
- Experience with Airflow, Snowflake, experimentation, and
hypothesis testing is a plus.
- Knowledge of statistical modeling or machine learning is
preferred but not required.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional environment
with attention to detail.
- Strong relationship-building and collaboration
skills.Compensation and BenefitsThe base pay range for this role is
listed below. Final offer depends on experience, skills, and
