STAFF FIRMWARE ENGINEER (IMPLANTABLE DEVICE)We are seeking a hands-on Firmware Engineer who has a strong background in the Medical Device space. Our client is an exciting Series A startup that is developing a next generation implantable hypoglossal nerve stimulation system for the treatment of a condition that affects upwards of 900M people a year globally. Qualification Requirements:

• 7+ years firmware development experience
• Lead Firmware development for medical device products with STM32 based microcontrollers
• Interfacing with BLE based control devices (mobile apps)
• Develop firmware across the full product development lifecycle for Medical Devices
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar
• Provides valuable input when reviewing hardware block diagrams and hardware requirement specifications
• Desire to learn FDA product/testing requirements Involvement with medical device regulatory standards such as IEC 60601, IEC 62304, and ISO 13485 including experience with system risk/hazard analysis
• Proactively communicates impact of own work schedule on projects
• Working knowledge of development tools such as STM32CubeIDE, Eclipse, Git, Jira and Jenkins.
• Troubleshooting experience with logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, microprocessor debuggers, communication protocol analyzers
• Flexibility and ability to self-start on new challenges, problem-solving with minimal supervision
• Ability to work efficiently on multiple tasks with deadlines
• Good organizational and multi-tasking skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills
• Capability of using automated software testing tools
