Manufacturing Engineer with the below qualifications: Professional
Attributes
- Works with the production department to improve existing
processes and recommends changes to enhance quality and
productivity while improving profitability
- Creates value stream maps and utilizes lean initiatives to make
assembly processes more efficient
- Drives team to complete and implement EOATs, automation
- Uses Six Sigma Lean principles and tools (5S techniques, time
studies, work motion studies and kaizen events) to monitor and
improve productivity while ensuring quality and safety requirements
are maintained
- Creates detailed plans for new product launches, specifications
for packaging, external supplier specifications and instructions
for manufacturing
- Properly documents new production processes and revisions per
ISO guidelines
- Develops and proposes new automation equipment for
manufacturing and assembly processes to improve efficiency, safety
and throughput utilizing internal designs and outside vendor
support
- Works with manufacturing team members to identify and resolve
manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes,
equipment, and product design
- Other duties as assigned Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a related Engineering field or equivalent
training required.
- 1-3 years of manufacturing or process engineering experience,
preferably within an assembly environment or a plastics
manufacturing environment.
- Experience in plastics
- Strong MS Office suite skills
- Ability to think outside the box
- KAIZEN and Lean Manufacturing training and on-the-job lean
implementation experience, including utilizing formal lean
methodologies
- Automation implementation and qualification experience
- Experience working within the medical device industry and
familiarity with medical device quality systems and validation
requirements.
- Ability to multitask and maintain progress with multiple
projects
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, including
GD&T experience; CAD experience and assembly fixturing design a
plus
- Positive attitude - Maintains positive outlook while working
through challenges
- Effective communicator with all levels of organizations and all
types of customers; maintaining professionalism at all times
- Leadership - Action oriented with the ability to act
independently, analyze a situation, recommend ideas and build
