Job Description Job Description Job Title: Logistics Specialist Job Description The Logistics Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the right materials are available at the right time to support engineering and prototype build activities. This role focuses on material readiness, BOM validation, part tracking, and kitting coordination to enable successful execution of early-phase hardware builds. This is a hands-on, detail-focused role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced R&D environments and can proactively align material planning and process improvements with dynamic engineering needs. Responsibilities Ensure material readiness and availability to support engineering and prototype build activities. Validate Bill of Materials (BOM) and track parts for successful hardware builds. Coordinate kitting processes for early-phase builds. Collaborate with Lab Managers or Technical Project Managers to align with build schedules and priorities. Essential Skills Strong planning skills. Experience with manufacturing part processes. Ability to plan materials effectively. Experience with SAP is a plus, but training can be provided. Forklift driving experience is a significant advantage. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in supply chain and logistics. Proficiency in data entry and SAP. Experience in manufacturing. Work Environment The work environment is hands-on and detail-oriented, requiring a proactive approach to material planning. The role may involve overtime during busy periods, and the typical work schedule is from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break. Equipment choice, such as a laptop, is flexible. The environment emphasizes collaboration and adaptability to dynamic engineering needs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $44.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
