Avis Budget Group is looking for a dedicated Heavy Duty Mechanic (Tech B) to join our team and contribute to maintaining the safety and operational efficiency of our fleet vehicles, which power our globally recognized brands: Avis, Budget, and Zipcar. The role requires an expert understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics combined with a keen eye for innovation. Safety is paramount, as is your commitment to customer satisfaction through ensuring every vehicle meets the highest standards. Perform routine maintenance and complex repairs on heavy duty vehicles and equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot engine, hydraulic, and electronic systems. Ensure all repairs and maintenance meet quality standards and vehicle safety requirements. Collaborate with our team to share insights and improve maintenance protocols. Maintain accurate records of each repair or maintenance work. Adhere to environmental laws and policies regarding vehicle repairs and disposal of consumables. Strong understanding of diesel engines and hydraulic systems Expertise in diagnostic tools and software Ability to manage time effectively Excellent problem-solving skills Good communication and teamwork skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid driver’s license ASE Certification preferable Additional technical training or certifications related to heavy machinery is an asset
