Director of Outpatient Services - Union City Outpatient Friday,

counselors work collaboratively to design an integrated,
individualized, strengths-based treatment experience geared towards
addressing each client's specific needs and goals. Outpatient
programs provide Individual and group therapy, individualized case
management, treatment planning, drug and alcohol counseling, crisis
intervention, and connection to social support services.

The Director of Outpatient Services is responsible for the
oversight and direct management of the Behavioral Health (substance
use disorder) Adult and Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) Outpatient
Treatment Programs and the supervision of program staff. Through
coordination, supervision and training, the Director of Outpatient
Services ensures that all aspects of the clinical and programmatic
process are functioning efficiently and in compliance with
contracts and licensing regulations for the program. Key
Responsibilities
- Directs and oversees clinical treatment and program
coordination of direct service activities within facility and
community.
- Responsible for the operational functions of the
facility/programs, including but not limited to safety and
security, compliance and accountability.
- Handles aspects of management, including direct day-to-day
supervision and mentoring of subordinate staff. Activities include
but are not limited to, interviewing, hiring, training, motivating,
evaluating, coaching/disciplining and termination.
- Ensures that the program complies with the Board of Behavioral
Sciences and AOD Certification requirements for clinical
supervision of interns and trainees as the direct clinical
supervisor. Will monitor the clinical work of supervisees and
provide individual and group supervision for staff working toward
licensure and students obtaining practicum hours.
- Ensures compliance with codes and regulations for behavioral
health programs. Responsible for tracking performance learning
measures outlined by the contract (caseload, capacity, utilization,
timely access, etc.) within the program and raising outstanding
concerns to senior management.
- Will lead team to conduct necessary outreach to the community
for recruitment and to ensure program information and behavioral
health education reaches the key players such as Probation,
schools, faith-based organizations, community-based organizations,
clinics, community members, etc. Creates or works with the
Development and Leadership Team to create educational materials.
Serves as main representative at specific County collaborative
meetings. Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field, AND
Licensure with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (2 years post
licensure).
- At least two years of experience in a supervisory/leadership
role.
- Desired - Valid Drug and Alcohol Certification recognized by
DHCS.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Action oriented. Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organization skills and ability to multitask and
juggle multiple priorities.
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively as part of
interdisciplinary team and independently assume
responsibility.
- Strong initiative and enthusiasm and willingness to pitch in
whenever needed.
- Able to communicate well at all levels of the organization
including working with organization leadership and high-level
representatives of partner organizations.
- Able to work within a frequently changing project scope while
maintaining overall direction and structured priorities.
- Proven skills with outreaching and working in ethnic
communities.
- Bilingual in one of the threshold languages.
- Skilled in Medi-Cal Clinical documentation standards (treatment
plans, progress notes etc.).
- Experience working with crim inal justice population.
- Experience working with ethnic communities. We will consider
