Our Union City branch is looking for a new Operations Manager to join our Contract Logistics team. Your Role Reporting to the General Manager you will support production department managers to develop the smooth flow of inventory into the warehouse for both shipping and storage. You will direct the daily activities of the warehouse and production logistics functions, including labor scheduling, management and the proper use of space, equipment and workforce. Important responsibilities include: Staffing, warehouse operations, maintenance of the facility and equipment, implementation of safety, security, housekeeping and sanitation programs, budgeting and customer service Your Responsibilities

• You will develop programs to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and use of the facility and equipment.
• You will plan and schedule all distribution services including receiving, storing, sequencing, delivery to the production area, maintenance, and administrative activities to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Plan long range labor needs based on production forecasts and input from management.
• You will attend forecast and productions meetings with customer.
• You will collaborate with the management team to establish goals.
• You will maintain a space layout plan to meet prescribed cost and services standards.
• Develop and implement an product locator system and update.
• You will develop procedures to ensure the efficient operation and use of all operational and material handling equipment.
• You will ensure current and accurate inventory control for each storage area.
• Assure that production orders are picked, sequenced, and delivered and within prescribed cost levels.
• You will support Production Department Managers to develop a smooth flow of inventory into the warehouse for both shipping and storage. Your Skills and Experiences
  • 3 or more years of inventory control management.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement.
