Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: San Mateo, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,954 per week Shift Information: 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant specialty License: Valid state nursing license required at the time of submission Certifications: CPI, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Epic experience within the past year Willingness to float to MedSurg Description: Candidates must possess a CA nursing license at the time of submission. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience with a patient ratio of 2:1 is required. Charting system experience with Epic is required. Community hospital experience is required. LTAC and trauma level experience are preferred. Candidates should have skills in neuro and surgical intensive care units. Experience with post-cardiac surgery care is required. Candidates should have familiarity with TAVR and GI surgery. Proficient in procedural sedation monitoring is expected. Experience in managing patients with multi-system organ dysfunction/failure is necessary. Candidates should be adept in interpretation of dysrhythmias and EKGs. Skills in central line and PICC line management, as well as IV therapy, are required. Candidates must be familiar with ventilator management and assistive devices like BiPAP/CPAP. Knowledge in infection prevention and isolation precautions is essential. Candidates will care for adult and geriatric patients, with a daily census of 4-7. The patient population may include those with sepsis, respiratory failure, and stroke. Interdisciplinary support teams include physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services. Weekend coverage is required, and candidates should expect to work 6-7 weekend shifts during the contract. Pre-approved time off must be arranged prior to submission. The facility follows a strict compliance policy regarding references and experience. Candidates must provide supervisor references upon submission.
