Description/Preferred QualificationsIn this exciting role as an HPC
Hardware Computer Product Engineer, the successful candidate will
be responsible for:
- Design, and implement HPC server platform for use in
high-volume semiconductor fabs with high availability
- Select, qualify and integrate components into the final design
considering cost v. performance trade-offs.
- Develop & implement test plans to assess quality of components
used in manufacturing and long-term (15yr +) sustaining support of
hardware servers
- Understand and work closely with software applications hosted
on server platform
- Perform SW-HW co-design while minimizing costs
- Perform QA testing of computer hardware and validating target
software applications
- Evaluate effectiveness of existing server designs and recommend
essential changes for continuous improvement & field support
- Work with third party HW & SW suppliers and system
integrators
- Own beta installations and support customer field
escalationsQualifications:
- BS/MS in Computer Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years of hands-on experience building computer systems
running Linux and VMware
- Solid understanding of virtualization concepts
- Comprehensive knowledge of computer hardware
- Experience deploying TCP/IP networking
- System administrator level advanced programming skills using
scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, etc.Minimum
QualificationsDoctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work
experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3
years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5
yearsBase Pay Range: $130,400.00 - $221,700.00 AnnuallyPrimary
