of the Living Room Devices, Browser Based Device, Client
Application Engineering Team, you will help push the boundaries on
devices and TVs in the marketplace. You'll build our
Direct-to-Consumer client apps, such as Disney+, Star+, ESPN, and
Hulu, on devices that run on browser and JavaScript
technologies.Job Responsibilities:
- Prototype and implement scalable, reliable media applications
using TypeScript, JavaScript, and web technologies.
- Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and
engineering leaders to create excellent streaming experiences.
- Work with other developers to build, review, and deliver media
applications for streaming devices.
- Use data and experimentation to improve product functionality
and user experience.
- Mentor junior engineers.Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:
- 7+ years in front-end application development with proficiency
in JavaScript (ES5 & ES6) and TypeScript, with low memory
footprint.
- Leadership skills, problem-solving ability, eagerness to learn
and teach new technologies.
- Experience building browser-based applications using
TypeScript, JavaScript, Preact/React, and Redux.
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals.
- Experience developing sophisticated user interfaces.
- Work samples demonstrating UI development experience.Preferred
Qualifications:
- Experience with development tools like GitHub, Jenkins,
Webpack, AWS, Confluence, JIRA.
- Experience with web-services and developing for streaming
devices like Samsung or LG is a plus.
- Strong experience with Scrum methodology.Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or
equivalent experience.The salary range varies by location, with
