Francisco - most of us are in office -3 days a week We're AI

redefining what it means to build with and for AIAbout the
roleWe're looking for an experienced trust and safety engineer to
join our team.Over the past year, we've grown from a private beta
serving hundreds of active users to a hot AI tool growing faster
everyday with millions of users hitting our servers from around the
world at all hours of the day. Gamma.app never sleeps!This position
is an onsite role in San Francisco with a hybrid flexible work
culture. You'll be expected to come in to our Potrero Hill office 3
days per week with a schedule that works best for you.We're looking
for candidates from diverse backgrounds who are interested
in:Building product features, platforms, and tooling to protect
Gamma's platform from phishing, objectionable content, spam,
account takeovers, and other fraud and abuseEnsuring these systems
scale to millions of users while maintaining high performance and
availabilityMoving fast and shipping to production dailyWorking
fully across our React Express NodeJS Postgres stack, mostly
written in TypescriptContributing to the vision and roadmaps for
long-term Trust & Safety and articulating Gamma's overall approach
and philosophy on Trust EngineeringAbove all, we're looking for
someone with a passion for keeping Gamma safe and secure, writing
code, collaborating with various engineering teams and product
managers, and solving new problems as Gamma grows. We care as much
about your attitude and curiosity as your technical knowledge, and
less about how long your resume is.What you'll do:Identify the
largest gaps in our existing infrastructure for protection against
fraud and abusePropose, validate, and socialize potential trust and
safety improvementsImplement improvements while partnering with
other engineers and product managersShip to production daily across
our React Express NodeJS Postgres stackDevelop and maintain systems
to detect and prevent malicious activityHelp build a scalable
infrastructure that can support our rapid growthDebug thorny and
complex security issues without much to go onRead and suggest
improvements to our trust and safety architectureOur ideal
candidate has:5+ years experience as a software engineer,
preferably with a focus on abuse/spam/fraud detection and
preventionA degree in computer science or related fieldStrong
proficiency in at least one programming languageExperience
developing & implementing trust and safety features such as rate
limiting, content detection, anomaly detection, and fraud
detectionExperience writing and maintaining highly-available web
APIsExperience with event streaming systems like Redis Pubsub or
Apache KafkaExperience working in large complex production scale
codebasesPassion for security and protecting users from bad
actorsExperience with AI prompting and large language models (we
use AI prompts to scan content currently)Experience programming
with TypescriptExperience with Prisma and Apollo GraphQLExperience
with Terraform and AWS ServicesThe base annual salary range for
this role is $200k-$265k.Competitive compensation package including
