equivalent practical experience 15 years of product management
experience for a technology-driven company, working with internal
developer platforms Experience in a developer ecosystem including
platform, developer relations, and customer engagement Preferred

adaptability, and clarity of thought, in a fast-paced and dynamic
team environment Technical depth and acumen, with the ability to

About the job As the Vice President of Product Management and
Engagement, you will lead the organization in the development,
strategy, and execution across the First-Party (1P) Developer
product set that internal developers use to build Google products.
Focused on tools and ecosystems for developing software at Google
scale. You will conceive and drive the product management and
customer engagement strategy for Core Developer aimed at improving
the user journey for developers across Alphabet using the best of
Google’s offerings (i.e., AI, Cloud). The incumbent will lead a
team that spans 1P Developer Product Management, Internal Developer
Relations, Data Science & Intelligence, Go-to-Market, and Customer
Engagement. In this critical leadership role, you will continue to
shift the Developer organization and meaningfully influence the
future state of software development across Google and support the
company through the next phases of our growth. You will be a key
bridge between engineering teams and the broader developer
community, driving adoption and gathering feedback to continuously
improve our internal developer experience. Collaborate effectively
with engineering leadership, UX designers, program managers, and
other cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive and user-centric
developer experience. Partner with adjacent engagement functions to
maximize impact. You will be directly responsible for the success
of developer tools, services, platforms, frameworks, and ecosystem.
Youll tie the product vision with customer needs through trusted
partnerships with each of the product areas throughout Alphabet. In
addition, youll facilitate shared understanding and consensus among
stakeholders through principled methods and deliverables, promote,
and convert our internal developer platform and tools. The Core
team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship
products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design
elements, developer platforms, product components, and
infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks
for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and
drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across
Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical
barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have
a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical
decisions across the company. The US base salary for this full-time
position is $550,000 bonus equity benefits. Individual pay is
determined by work location and additional factors, including
job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities Optimize the balance between the product
management and engagement teams and skill sets, leveraging the
synergies between both maximizing the combined impact through
strategic collaboration. Evolve the Developer Product Management &
Engagement organization to become even more user-centric by
embedding strong product management culture, discipline, and
practices in an engineering-heavy organization. Build and drive a
strategy and plan around our products/product roadmap and customer
engagement. Build strong partnerships with Google Product Areas,
understanding their strategic priorities, key pain points, and how
to drive and deliver impact.
