What you'll do on a typical day:

• Act as first line of communication with customers and operations; advise customers of service failures and coordinate resolutions
• Communicate with customers, vendors and operations to ensure customer commitments are met
• Provide guidance to operations staff with respect to personnel, quality and safety
• Mentor and lead a team; provide industry expertise, guidance and support Monitor service providers
• Interview and train new employees, conduct employee reviews and establish detailed performance goals - - What you need to succeed at XPO:At a minimum, you'll need:
  • 2 years of experience in transportation, operations, customer service, distribution or logistics in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Windows applications and Microsoft Office, including creating complex formulas in Excel
  • Availability to work extended hours as needed, which may include early mornings, evenings and weekendsIt'd be great if you also have:
    • Associate degree in Logistics, Transportation or Business
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
    • The ability to perform complex analysis of data, processes, policies, procedures and/or systems; produce unambiguous, comprehensive and accurate interpretations
    • Effective organizational and leadership skills, including using a variety of interpersonal styles and communication methods to effectively adapt to new work structures, processes or cultures
    • The ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentThis job requires the ability to:
