world.Join us! The GoFundMe team is searching for our next Sr. Data
Scientist to help us build the future of giving through data-driven
decision-making. You will work with an accomplished team to drive
impact through insights and advanced analytics.Candidates
considered for this role will be located in the San Francisco Bay
Area. There will be an in-office requirement of 3x a week.As a Sr.
Data Scientist, you will---
- Lead high-impact projects from ideation to delivery, working
cross-functionally to ensure measurable results
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the Product, Engineering, Design,
and Data teams to empower data-driven decision making and help
people help each other
- Drive product strategy by delivering forward-looking insights
and recommending data-informed roadmaps
- Own the design, execution, and analysis of A/B tests to guide
product innovation and optimize user experience
- Build and deploy Foundational Models (e.g., segmentation,
retention, LTV) that inform strategic decisions across our giving
marketplace
- Partner cross-functionally to uncover new analytical
opportunities that drive business performanceYou have---
- 5+ years of experience in product data science, analytics, or
an equivalent field
- Expertise in formulating and executing multivariate and A/B
tests
- Advanced SQL for querying and transforming data
- Proficiency in Python for modeling, forecasting, and
statistical analysis
- Familiarity with a range of statistical and machine learning
methods
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage business requests
through structured scoping and stakeholder alignment.
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills to translate data
into strategic insightsPreferred---
- A Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative field (Mathematics,
Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or related) is a plus.
- Experience developing churn, retention, or customer LTV models
to inform customer lifecycle or engagement strategy
- Familiarity with advanced experimentation techniques (e.g.,
Multi-Armed Bandits, uplift modeling) for personalization or

for this full-time position in this location is $156,000 - $195,000
+ equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role,
level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location
