Position Summary: Under warehouse supervision, a sanitation worker is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary warehouse and office in a manner that is consistent with the company's standards of quality and safety, and productivity. To learn more visit https://penske.jobs/benefits/ Additional Benefits: - Paid Time Off - Holiday Pay - Medical Insurance - Dental Insurance - Vision Insurance - Life Insurance - 401K with company match. - Associate Referral Program Note- this is a Cold Storage facility: 34 F to 55 F Major Responsibilities: - Proficient in mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, and vacuuming surfaces - Empties trash bins and cleans trash area daily; operates trash compactor when applicable - Pulls pallets and clean/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis - Clean up any spills or breakages to the inventoried product; recoup damages and determine if resalable or must be disposed of per food safety standards and requirements - Clean other areas of the warehouse and offices, including break rooms, restrooms, offices, etc. - Complete daily sanitation logs - Utilize chemicals, detergents, and cleaning equipment - Operate scrubber and pallet jacks if required to perform duties - Able to identify and address cleanliness and sanitation issues - Complies with all safety requirements - Escalate issues timely and directly to supervisor - Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system - Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor . Qualifications: - Previous sanitation/warehouse experience preferred. - High school diploma or equivalent preferred - Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required - Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required - Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook required (where applicable by location) - Flexible to work overtime preferred - Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions required - Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job - Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required. This position is designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
